3. Operating the system

A videoconferencing system is normally delivered with a remote control.

With help of this tool it is easy to operate the system:

  • Camera control
  • Using presets (pre-defined settings and camera views)
  • Adjusting the volume
  • Microphone mute

Other video conferencing systems can be connected either by telephone networks (ISDN) or data networks (IP). To connect the other systems you simply key in the phone number or IP address to the other system(s) by use of:

  • the remote control,
  • an external control panel if your video system is connected to it, or
  • the web interface if your system is connected to an IP network with a spesific IP address.

In addition, several companies offer connection and management of multipart conferences, so-called "meeting points".
