Supporting tools
“Supporting tools” refers in the context of MECCA
to equipment that can be used during a video conferencing
section or a video stream to enrich the educational experience
of learners and to better convey the concepts of the educational
topic that is the focus of the educational session. Such tools
may range from “traditional” equipment, such as
projectors that can be used to display objects, blackboards
or notepads that can be used as writing surface by the instructor,
to advance equipment such as digital blackboards with a wide
range of powerful capabilities in terms of content presentation
and the support of software applications. This area explores
the capabilities of supporting equipment. Examples of how
the equipment may be used in good practice educational environments
can be found in the educational
courses area.
